Advice for authors

The best advice a writer can receive

is to keep it simple and short.

Name your gift book

Mother Speech, Auntie Anne’s Advice or Lessons

from Nana …..whatever is appropriate for your

relationship to your main recipients.

Select the cover paper

You have your choice of three colors for your set of 20 gift books:  pure ivory, silver granite or rose quartz.  The title is in a complimenting color.

Create your text

Write a short opening letter to your main recipients and your book text.  Your book text should be 26 pages (chapters or “speeches”) of no more than 100 words per page headed by titles or numbers.

Find two photos

We suggest a clean close-up of you as the author and a favorite family shot for the back page.  They will be printed in black and white.  Remember no face in a photo should be smaller than your thumbnail when printed.
